Architects of Peace
Volume Three of the Adirondack Green Trilogy

Architects of Peace, the third volume of the Adirondack Green Trilogy, tells the story of thirty-two high school seniors who want to do something more than pass their final exams and graduate in June. Following the exuberant success of hosting thirty-two Wounded Warriors on adaptive skis, the seniors plan a week in July when over a hundred Wounded Warriors will ride on adaptive bikes on the traffic-free roads of the Adirondack Park.

The veterans come from hospitals around America to the little town of Balsam Corners, where for the first time since they returned from the devastation of Iraq and Afghanistan, they are able to spend a week with a team of highly motivated vets, actually going somewhere. Veterans design and build their own adaptive bikes, become Rocket Jockeys, and discover the best that is in America.

The entire event is powered with clean electricity produced by the wind turbine spinning atop Bobcat Mountain.

Architects of Peace is not a story about America as it is today. It is the deeply positive story about America as it could be.
